Prelimtek was founded in 2019 by Kaniu Ndungu, a seasoned software engineer and consultant. He is also an open source contributor and believes in the benefit of free education to encourage the participation of new engineers. Kaniu envisioned a business that provides services and products along with collaboration with industry leaders in community outreach.
